Programs For Athletes

Peak athletic performance has traditionally been equated with aggressive physical training. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or a weekend warrior training for your first 5K, speed and agility are supposed to come from pushing harder. Most training programs are designed to gradually increase duration and intensity of workouts with the theory that ability will improve in a similarly linear fashion.

The latest science in regenerative medicine disputes the notion that intensive training alone will result in better fitness and skill levels. The true keys to maximizing athletic performance are nutritional balance to fuel workouts and build muscle, prevention of oxidative stress and inflammation that damage cells, and appropriate supplementation to replace the micronutrients expended during training and aid in the recovery process.

An athlete’s body is a machine that needs to run as cleanly and efficiently as possible. Each training session generates inflammation and oxidative stress – the two elements most destructive to cell life.

Inflammation (or the body’s response to harmful toxins) is protective in small amounts. Chronic inflammation, caused by poor food choices, lack of sleep, loss of muscle mass and exposure to environmental toxins, can lead to cell damage.

Oxidative stress is caused by an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen free radicals and the body’s ability to readily detoxify them. Hence we get massive cell damage. The toxins around us, chronic stress and excessive exercise can lead to increased oxidation and ultimately disease.

Some athletes (especially those in endurance sports) place so much stress on their bodies that they become more susceptible to chronic illness. Over time, this build-up of oxidative stress and inflammation becomes a risk factor for cardiac arrest.

Our Program

Peak performance in any sport can only be achieved through efficient training and maintaining proper nutrients and body function. Pushing your body beyond its limits can result in injury and lost training time.

To maximize performance and increase your overall fitness you must:

  • Have the appropriate micronutrients to efficiently generate ATP or energy for your muscles
  • Clear inflammation and toxins completely after each workout and throughout your day.
  • Ensure that your gastrointestinal tract is healthy. Not only will the appropriate balance of healthy bacteria aid in proper digestion and absorption of vital nutrients, but they will prevent the development of leaky gut. If the gastrointestinal wall is not intact and small toxic particles enter the blood stream, systemic inflammation will occur and prevent all athletic success.
  • Understand what supplement choices are truly right for your particular body and event and how to use them appropriately.
  • Practice a healthy balance of strength training and cardio and know how to prevent “overtraining syndrome”.

We not only help athletes… we are athletes ourselves. Our team of medical professionals uses Advanced Clinical Testing to diagnose any micronutrient deficiencies and inflammatory markers while we design a custom plan that includes an anti-inflammatory diet, pharmaceutical grade supplements, and cross training workouts. This state of the art program will minimize injury, maximize strength and improve your overall health.
